Blocking Google-Extended won't hide you from Google Search

Google documents Google-Extended as a robots.txt token that lets a site opt out of being used to improve Gemini models. It isn't Googlebot. Disallowing it doesn't remove your pages from Google Search, and allowing it doesn't change your ranking.

Some managed robots.txt files, including some Cloudflare templates, block every AI token at once, so Google-Extended may be blocked without you choosing it. Two quick checks:

1. Search your robots.txt for a Google-Extended group and make sure it says what you meant.
2. Leave the Googlebot group alone if you want Search to keep crawling your site.
